Project Summary

Connecting car buyers and dealerships is at the core of Capital One's digital products and is a key driver in signing new clients. This is the Dealer Navigator CMS tool that enables sales associates to track where customers are at in their car purchasing journey, from kicking the tire to finalizing their purchase.

My role in this project was to help the product team create the overall UI design and accompanying widgets for the CMS to help improve the overall experience for end-users.

Design Scope & Goals

  • Dashboard UI: Designed a clean, functional layout aligned with Capital One’s brand guidelines

  • Widgets: Built customizable, data-driven widgets to track KPIs like leads, inventory, and sales

  • Design System: Used and expanded existing components for consistency and efficiency

Dashboard Design

I collaborated with the product team to design these user interfaces above, which were rolled out to select local dealerships for testing. Early feedback showed strong results, including higher customer satisfaction, increased client acquisition, and a clear positive business impact.

Dealer Specific Widgets

Alongside the dashboard layout, I designed customizable widgets that display key metrics like leads, inventory, and sales performance. These tools empower sales associates to engage customers more effectively, increase sales, and better manage inventory.

Design System

The design library includes foundational elements like color, typography, and iconography to ensure consistency and efficiency across teams. I contributed by creating reusable components, including custom icons, which helped streamline design workflows and save production time.

Conclusion & Impact

The tool was successfully shipped to local dealerships for testing. Early results included:
