Orthofix Web Redesign
Overview:
The image above showcases the current corporate website, which underwent a comprehensive redesign process. Orthofix had successfully rebranded its message and marketing campaign to prioritize patients.
My Role:
I crafted a website that placed a stronger emphasis on patients by incorporating captivating patient photos, videos, and inspiring patient success stories. In addition, I had access to our analytics, which provided valuable information about the frequently visited pages and areas we noticed high user drop-offs to help design a more engaging and user-friendly website. All these efforts to yield a higher conversion rate, increase new visitors, and an decrease in bounce rate.
What it used to look like
My team was tasked to completely overhaul the old website to address the following issues:
- Outdated and cold imagery
- Targeted more towards doctors than patients (main visitors)
- Not mobile or tablet friendly
- Navigation was confusing and hard to use
- Outdated content and not optimized for SEO
- Layout was not built to scale therefore we couldn't upload multimedia such as videos.
Initial Website Redesign
We overhauled the corporate website which involved the replacement of numerous pages and an extensive range of product manuals and patient images. To handle the production volume and adhere to our deadline, we developed the site in three phases. First, we created all the components in small batches, which were progressively passed off to our team of developers. Then, a team member steadily uploaded assets to the server. Finally, we conducted rigorous testing in an internal sandbox environment to ensure the absence of any issues. As a result of these team efforts, we not only achieved a successful launch with minimum bugs but also established a robust library of reusable components.
What it Looks Like Today
A few years later, I was tasked to redesign the website once again to modernize the look and feel and to increase customer satisfaction. Please visit the Orthofix website for a live view.
